Sufentanil Medicine, Benefits, Dosage And Side Effects

Sufentanil is a drug used in universal anesthesia procedures or to relieve postoperative pain. This drug will be given directly by a doctor or medical officer under the supervision of a doctor at the hospital. 
Sufentanil is an opioid pain medication that works by limiting the transmission of pain signals to nerve cells that lead to the brain. That way the pain will decrease.

Do not drive a vehicle or do activities that require alertness after taking sufentanil, because this drug can cause dizziness or drowsiness.
Immediately consult a doctor if you experience an overdose, drug allergic response, or more serious side effects after using sufentanil.
Dosage and Terms of Use Sufentanil The doctor will distribute the dose of sufentanil according to its intended use. Sufentanil will be given by injection through a vein (intravenous / IV). 
Universally, the following details the dosage of injectable sufentanil: Purpose: To induce or initiate an intubation procedure Adult: 1–2 mcg/kg by IV injection. 
If needed, a further dose of 10–59 mcg can be given by IV injection.
Purpose: As part of general anesthesia or general anesthesia Adult: The dose is 8–30 mcg/kg by IV injection. 
If needed, a further dose of 25–30 mcg can be given by IV injection.
Children: Initially 10–25 mcg/kg by IV injection. Maintenance dose 25–50 mcg by IV injection.

While the injection is being tried, it is mandatory to try installing breathing apparatus with 100% oxygen administration. Purpose: Relieve postoperative pain Adult: Initially 30–60 mcg. The dose may be increased to 25 mcg given at least 1 hour after the initial dose.

During the injection, the patient's general condition, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and oxygen level will be monitored regularly by the doctor.

Increased content of sufentanil when used with ritonavir, ketoconazole, or itraconazole
Increased risk of developing severe respiratory distress when used with benzodiazepines, antipsychotics, anxiolytics, or tricyclic antidepressant drugs (TCAs)
Side Effects and Dangers of Sufentanil Sufentanil will be given by a doctor or medical officer under the supervision of a doctor at the hospital. There are several side effects that can stick out after using sufentanil, namely:
Headache
Nausea or vomiting
Dry mouth
Fatigue
Constipation
Low blood pressure
Dizzy
Seizures or fainting
Warmth in the face, chest, or neck (flushing)
Low body temperature (hypothermia)
Rapid heartbeat, pounding heart, or irregular heartbeat
