Because the fort was made on an artificial hill, and around the fort a large siring was made so that anyone who came could not pass, then in every corner of the building there was a cannon that would fire at the enemy's place either on land or at sea, and this fort is a very sturdy building and does not could be broken down with any weapon even with cannons in those days, what made Fort Marlborough's defenses so incredibly strong.
With a very strong building construction, as well as good building materials there may be nothing, so what makes the building strong is the walls of the fort which are very thick and contain very strong rocks that make the fort able to withstand any attack, thick walls. The Marlborough Fort building is approximately 3 meters, so prisoners at that time would not be able to get out at all, then the entrance to Marlborough Fort was only one, and the way to enter there were 2 posts, where the first post passed the inspection bridge, and the second post also passes guard, so if there is an attack on the first post then the bridge to go through the second post can be lifted if there is an attack, the entrance to Fort Marlborough is made of very heavy, strong and thick wood, the entrance alone is very difficult for us to penetrate.
