The beauty and uniqueness of Lake Gedang which is adjacent to this beach can be used as a tourist attraction with very high natural potential, just imagine the lake adjoining the sea like an estuary that is so wide but the difference is that the two are still separated by a stretch of sand about 30 meters.
A very unique and interesting panoramic view between the lake and the sea in one frame, in this location visitors can also swim in the river and by the sea, while enjoying the natural beauty that is presented and while sitting relaxed either from the top of the hill or between the river borders. with the beach.

Even better if this area can be built a pier on the edge of the lake it will certainly look more beautiful. with the management of the lake, the local residents can take advantage of it and can cultivate freshwater fish with large yields later.
The beauty shown by this lake is an attraction for us to visit, and here there is also a unique tradition carried out by local residents. What is the tradition!! yes it is often referred to as the Split Lake Tradition or Broken Lake, the tradition will be carried out by the natives there using traditional tools in the village. Usually this tradition will be carried out when the lake water is high or at high tide. The local residents who take part in the event will make a pile of sand as a barrier between lake water and sea water so they don't mix. The barrier is made with a size of approximately half a meter to one meter according to the direction of the chairman.

The purpose of carrying out this tradition is according to the stories of local residents so that the water in the lake can flow into the sea or to the beach on the other side. The tradition that is carried out is not as easy as imagined because it must be done together with mutual cooperation, this involves hundreds of residents or the local community. The activity of splitting the lake is carried out from the base of the lake which has a width of approximately 20 to 25 meters. What if after that, the residents will monitor the flow of this water until the river recedes, after the river water recedes, the sand dug that was made will be closed again by the residents. This tradition was deliberately carried out by local residents with the aim of harvesting various types of fish, shrimp and crabs and other animals in the lake. This tradition is carried out every six months and only when the lake water is high. The uniqueness of this tradition has existed and lasted for thousands of years. However, local residents still believe in their tradition that the abundance of fish in this lake will not run out even if it is taken continuously.
